Code of Conduct at Unacademy

Unacademy was started with a simple vision; every single student, irrespective of their socio-economic background should have access to quality education. Our technology has made it possible to connect the best Educators across the country to every single aspirant. Today, we have thousands of Educators teaching millions of Learners.

At Unacademy, we strive to create a conducive learning and teaching environment. This includes interactions between Educators and Learners, to facilitate the flow of knowledge and exchange of ideas. With this in mind, it is essential to ensure that the platform is not misused in anyway; and everyone has a fulfilling learning or teaching experience.

Therefore, we have a zero tolerance policy towards individual participants that disturb the decorum of the platform, or make others feel uncomfortable with inappropriate conversations both on and off the platform. Unacademy will take swift and strict action against any individual who breaches our code of conduct.

Below are the Do’s and Don’ts that we have laid out for our Learners and Educators:

Do’s

• Respect fellow Educators and Learners.
• Ask relevant questions pertaining to the topic being discussed.
• Conduct and participate in polls during classes.
• Encourage healthy discussions that foster exchange of ideas.

Don’ts

• Bully, harass or single out anyone.
• Make sexually inappropriate comments towards any individual.
• Make any hate speech, or use content with religious or political overtones which may offend.
• Use content which incites or promotes violence that may cause physical or emotional harm or endanger the safety of any individual.
• Exchange personal information.
• Engage with any Learner or Educator one on one, off the platform.
• Spam or post irrelevant comments that disturb the decorum of the class.

Every Learner and Educator is responsible for acting in accordance with our usage guidelines and upholding our values. If you come across a participant flouting our usage guidelines and disrupting the integrity of our platform; kindly write to us on report@unacademy.com and we shall investigate the matter and take necessary action.
